First off, my crappy iPhone pictures don’t even BEGIN to do this apartment justice. But I thought I’d share a few photos anyway. This is a loft in Brooklyn that’s shared by two architects along with their girlfriends. They not only lofted their beds, but actually built their own bedrooms along with custom shelving beneath. How genius is this? Not only is is beautiful, but it’s an incredible usage of the space and basically doubles the size of their apartment. But it gets better.

They’ve also been working on a ridiculous TRex mural that had every guy at the party drooling. (What is it with boys and dinosaurs?) And according to them they’re not finished! Their plan is to never stop working on it and just make the mural more and more intricate. I can’t imagine it getting any more detailed unless they intend to hand out 3D glasses to their guests (which might actually be really cool), but I can’t wait to see how it looks a month or so from now. I had a great conversation with one of the guys who built the apartment about possibly working together on some videos of their architecture and/or mural projects so look out for that in the near future. Once again, New York has introduced me to a ton of talented and inspiring people that I can’t wait to work with!
