But one of the coolest things about last night, was all the great people we met. Including Photographer and Sculpture Kate Raudenbush, who’s best known for her incredible pieces seen at the Burning Man Festival. We randomly met Kate and her friends at a dive bar in Brooklyn after deciding to skip the pricey $20 cover at a party down the block. We hit it off after talking about our costumes and spent most of the night laughing, crafting cheesy puns and dancing with her and her friends.

After uploading pictures this morning, I shuffled through the cards I collected last night and was SHOCKED to discover how incredible Kate’s work is! I mean, I like to assume everyone’s talented, but there are so many artists in New York that when someone tells you they’re a musician, actress, painter, fashion designer or whatever you hope their work is good but you just never really know. So hitting it off with Kate and her friends and then seeing how talented she is, was a most welcome surprise. Man, I love this city.
