I won $35,000 in YouTube’s NextUP Contest. Because of NextUP I was featured in The New York Times, Mashable, The New York Observer and the front page of the South Florida Times. My bun was patted down by the TSA tonight. I jokingly thought it might happen and even contemplated taking my bun down to avoid it, but after the recent discovery of cocaine in a woman’s locs in a Thailand airport, I can’t say I blame them for checking…But I’m still not sure how I feel about it.
